Course Description Recommended Prior Learning

Learners are advised to have taken a Level 1 Digital Technologies course.


This course allows learners to pursue projects of their choice and develop digital outcomes that integrate a range of tools and technical skills.


Skills/content you will cover in this course 

  • Disciplines and tools the learner can draw from may include: Graphic Design, Animation, 3D modelling, Programming, Databases, Web Design, 3D printing, Vinyl Cutting, Programmable Electronics, CAD Modelling, Game Development.

  • Brief development

  • Prototyping.


Skills you need to be successful in this course - resilience, self-direction, independence, problem solving, curiosity. 

This course is useful for or will lead to - Developing design thinking and project management skills (useful in any field). Leads to 3DIGI (in school), and computer science/software engineering and a range of media design options beyond school.

Assessment Information

Learners will choose one of AS91893 (Digital Media), AS91894 (Electronics) or AS91896 (Programming).
An optional external assessment will also be offered - AS91899 (Reflection).
