Course Description

Learners will explore themes, ideas and contexts relevant to them through a highly practical, performance based course.
Skills/content you will cover in this course
Learn how to apply drama techniques to create a credible drama role
Use Drama conventions to structure a performance
Perform onstage in a class production
Discuss elements, techniques, technologies and conventions within live performance.
Skills you need to be successful in this course - ability to work with a group throughout the rehearsal process, listen to and apply direction. Creative problem solving skills, knowledge and understanding of Drama techniques, conventions, elements and technologies. Willing to perform to an audience.
This course is useful for or will lead to - this course is designed to prepare learner for Level 3 Drama and onto further tertiary study beyond school.
Recommended Prior Learning
Recommended Drama has been taken at Level 1, or in discussion with Learning Area Leader.
