Course Description

This course is a dynamic and engaging learning experience. This course aims to introduce learners to the concepts of social action, positive change, and the importance of justice in their communities.

  • Social Actions and Human Rights

  • Plan and take action to promote positive change

  • Fundamentals of the New Zealand legal and justice systems.


Skills you need to be successful in this course - learners need strong academic writing skills, strong cooperative learning skills for group work, and the ability to empathise with different points of view to be successful in this course. 

This course is useful for or will lead to - this course supports learners to engage with Social Sciences in Level 3. It also provides a foundation for tertiary pathways like Humanities, Social Work, and Law.
