Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs M. Millar.
Through studying Artworks in the field of Graphic Design, learners will learn to find and follow their own unique artistic pathway inspired by modern and contemporary design artists and their work. Learners will gain transferable life skills of learning how to learn through artist model analysis and time management through large projects. Visual literacy gained through conceptual and visual problem-solving allows a unique lens through which to contribute to future work environments.
Learners will present their work in an Design Artists Workbook and Design Artists External Portfolio*.

Learners can choose a maximum of two Visual Arts subjects at Level 3.
*The External Portfolio Submission is worth 14 credits and a UE subject basket.
Recommended Prior Learning
Level 2 Visual Art Course, entry may also be granted with Level 1 Art Course background in consultation with teacher in charge of the course.

Voluntary Course Contribution
Theory workbooks, Course Book and Assignment. Depending on the course and learner level, learners may be required to purchase a theory workbook, assignment book. Subject to course and level items will be provided at a subsidised cost of approx. $10 to $25.

Students would benefit from having their own DSLR camera, camera bag and SD card for external folio work. * There are limited school cameras available for learner use.
