10 French Cuisine (Option A)

Course Description

Learning Area Leader: Ms A. Mansfield.

Learners will develop their understanding of the French language through studying recipes and cooking traditional french dishes.   


Skills/content you will cover in this course 

  • Assessing and analysing information in French recipes

  • Communicating about yourself in spoken and written French

  • Mastering basic cookery skills to prepare several French dishes such as crepes, quiche lorraine and chocolate fondants

  • Learners will develop curiosity, resilience, communication skills and intercultural understanding.


This course is useful for or will lead to - NCEA Level French courses.
