Course Description

Explore the Japanese language and culture whilst continuing to develop your communicative competence to a high level. 


Skills/content you will cover in this course 

  • Express and justify ideas using a wide range of vocabulary and language structures

  • Interpret written and aural texts

  • Converse with others with increasing fluency

  • Topics include traditions and culture of Japan, future plans and work, and current affairs in Japan.


Skills you need to be successful in this course - resilience, critical thinking, communication and collaboration, assessing and analysing information 

This course is useful for or will lead to - you can study languages at university as either a major or minor subject. Knowing a second language is very useful for a wide range of careers, such as business, education, tourism, government, translation and interpretation and journalism.
