Course Description
Learning Area Leader: Mrs M. Millar.
Dance is a highly practical course where learners will get to express themselves creatively. We will work on choreography skills and create our own choreography as well as performance skills. Learners will conduct research and learn about different genre and styles. There will be opportunities to work independently as well as in groups.
Skills/content you will cover in this course
Develop dance skills
Develop their own choreography to fit a brief
Experience dance from different genres
Further develop understanding and implementation of the Elements of Dance.
This course is useful for or will lead to - NCEA Dance courses
