Learners will explore the stories we are told - within our history, within our community and within our whānau through a highly practical, performance based course.
Skills/content you will cover in this course
Build our knowledge and understanding of theatre Aotearoa Research
Discuss how theatre can transform, entertain, heal or educate
Develop our performance skills through working with text
Use creative strategies to devise our own performances
Perform in a class production
Analyse performance, demonstrating knowledge of techniques, conventions and elements to communicate intention.
Skills you need to be successful in this course - ability to demonstrate whanaungatanga throughout rehearsal process - Creative problem solving skills - The ability to communicate with others, reflect and discuss ideas and themes - Willingness to perform
This course is useful for or will lead to - Level 2 and 3 Drama
