Course Description

Learning Area Leader: Mrs A. Evans.

This course is created to develop learners skills in English.  They do this through the context of discovering who they are and where they fit in Aotearoa/New Zealand.  


Skills/content you will cover in this course:

  • Analysis of written and visual texts
  • Creative and formal writing
  • Be able to communicate through speech and creation of a visual text.


Skills you need to be successful in this course - a good level of literacy is required as you will be analysing written text in and exam.  Being creative to present a speech as well as a visual text.

This course is useful for or will lead to - this course is aimed at helping learners to improve their English skills, especially in being able to communicate ideas.

 

Recommended Prior Learning

If you are wanting to take this course it is recommended that you have Achieved in any of the Level 2 Media Studies or English courses.
