Skills/content you will cover in this course

• This is a Te Reo me ōna tikanga and Te Ao Māori based course. If you enjoy reading or learning about māori history then this is the course for you.

• Pūrākau (māori legends) will be used as a vehicle to learn about te ao māori with a view to creating enjoyment and variety in learning.

Skills you need to be successful in this course are an enthusiasm to delve into some local Māori history. You need to be an independent learner who is ready to learn and flourish in te ao Māori.

This course is useful for or will lead to te ao Māori and Te Reo Māori based courses while at Rolleston College and it will broaden your understanding of tikanga and te reo Māori.
