Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr A. Gebbie.
This course is based around local, and culturally relevant, identified wellbeing issues. Learners will build an understanding of the HPE underlying concepts and subject knowledge using real-world application in everyday settings. Learners who enjoy interpersonal learning and being challenged to think critically and empathetically about current Health issues will enjoy this course. Interactive discussion will be an integral part of the learning process.
Topics covered but not limited to Coping with Change, Promoting Positive Sexuality, Drug Education and Nutrition

- Learners will develop strategies to support positive well-being
- Learners will understand and develop strategies for effective decision making
- Learners will develop interpersonal skills to enhance relationships
- Learners will develop their critical thinking skills to build health knowledge and understanding
