Course Description

In this course learners will be taught the skills to analyse both visual and written texts. Learners will then communicate their learning through essay writing in an examination. Learners will also develop their critical thinking through an investigation into the way texts can be connected through their different conventions eg. themes, characters, setting . There is also the opportunity to develop learners' written language through the creation of a writing portfolio.
If you choose this course you are expected to read a novel, as well as sitting the end of year English examinations.

If you are wanting to take this course it is recommended that you have Achieved in Level 1 Literacy rich subjects.
