Course Description
Learning Area Leader: Mr R. McBrearty.
This course allows students to form their own company and compete in the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme throughout the year. Students can learn practical business concepts and strategies, make money and create sustainable outcomes for people, profit and planet.

Ideation and pitching
Product validation and research
Networking and consultation
Product development and prototyping
Business planning - marketing, sales, communication, financial forecasting and management
Skills you need to be successful in this course - collaboration & teamwork, communication skills (both written & verbal), financial literacy & budgeting/forecasting, creativity, problem solving, resilience & risk taking. You will work in a group for the majority of the year.
This course is useful for or will lead to - further business/commerce (BCom, BBUS, marketing, finance) study at university. Entreprenueral opportunities, study in communication, business owner, range of work within commerce and business sector
* Please note that learners cannot take 3YES and 3Business courses as Business can only be counted as one University Entrance subject *
