3 English - Literature

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs A. Evans.

Learners will explore the fundamentals of English.  They will investigate different texts including a novel and film.  They will then use this to be able to extend their essay writing skills through their analysis.  Learners will also get the opportunity to show their creativity by completing some writing through a portfolio.  This course builds on skills that are needed if considering further academic study.

Learners are expected to sit the external examinations if they take this course.  This will help to prepare them for further tertiary study.

Recommended Prior Learning

If you are wanting to take this course it is recommended that you have Achieved in any of the Level 2 Media Studies or English courses.
