Course Description

Design and Visual Communication (DVC) develop their own ideas to address Spatial or Product Design needs.

This course is useful for or will lead to - Design Studies, Architecture, Product Design, Landscape Design and Engineering Studies.
Recommended Prior Learning
Students should have completed DVC in year 12 or very successfully in year 11. While prior experience is recommended, it is not essential.
Additional Course Specific Contributions & Equipment/Stationery
A starter stationery pack is a compulsory requirement for this course and will be charge to learner accounts. This will be approximately $30.
Students would though benefit from a laptop that is capable of running current ArchiCad, Fusion 360 and Autodesk Inventor. (No cost for software). Please note there are limited school laptops available for in class use.
Pathway
Students completing Y13 DVC often pursue design careers in University, Design Schools or Apprenticeships in the trades.
Assessment Information
Learners will complete EITHER AS91629 OR AS91630Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
This course is approved for University Entrance.
