9 Digital Art (Semester)

Course Description

Digital Art is a rapidly growing field in the visual arts. In this course, learners will be introduced to the tools for making artwork digitally in the disciplines of illustration, typography, image manipulation and design. 


Skills/content you will cover in this course 

  • Using the computer as an art making tool in the context of design

  • How to produce an artist workbook to collate and develop artworks

  • How to produce finished artworks.


This course is useful for or will lead to - Year 10 Art courses and then NCEA Visual Arts. Learning to look, think and create like an artist leads to analysis and problem solving skills that are sought-after in the modern work place.
