Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs M. Millar.

Learn how to work like a Visual Artist. Push the boundaries of what visual art in the field of Painting can be. Explore the social and physical world we live in through the production of artworks in the field of Painting. Learners will produce a Visual Artists Workbook and External Portfolio presentation.

Learners will gain transferable life skills of learning how to learn through artist model analysis and time management through large projects. Visual literacy gained through conceptual and visual problem-solving allows a unique lens through which to contribute to future work environments.

Learners can choose a maximum of two Visual Arts subjects at Level 2.

Recommended Prior Learning

Learning within senior level 1 or junior painting & drawing/photo design of the Visual Arts would be an advantage. Consultation with Learning Area Leader would be required if the above courses haven't been undertaken.
