Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs A. Evans.
In this course learners will carry out a genre study. They will learn about the 'slasher' genre and how the conventions are used to teach us about our society. They will show this learning through an essay in the external examinations. Learners will also use this context when using their critical thinking skills to analyse the way groups in society are represented in the media and the ethics involved in these representations.
These are assessed during class through different mediums, creating visuals and report writing.

If you are wanting to take this course it is recommended that you have Achieved in Level 1 Literacy rich subjects.
