2 Maths Lab

Course Description

This is a general mathematics course where you can develop your skills, but don't necessarily need maths to continue into Tertiary studies.


Skills/content you will cover in this course 

  • Algebra, trigonometry, statistics and probabilities

  • Variety of practical tools to solve problems including Graphical calculators and Spreadsheets.

  •  Real life probability.


Skills you need to be successful in this course - following set instructions on how to set up work according to mathematics conventions like working. Connecting or justifying why variables or quantities seem reasonable and how it relates to the real world. Critiquing statistical reports including writing their own to discuss assumptions or limitations of data or sample sets. Communicate findings in sentences. 

This course is useful for or will lead to - 3 Maths Lab which provides more analysis skills.
