Course Description
Learning Area Leader: Ms C. Green.
Learners will learn about techniques used in farming in New Zealand and the science behind them. We will also look into food production and environmental concerns as well as the methods used to manage these.

Extended practical investigation
Management practices in plant production
environmental impacts of farming and reproductive techniques.
Skills you need to be successful in this course - ability to work safely and collaboratively while carrying out practical work. Written reports and scientific writing. Independent study skills and time management. Ability to receive feedback and apply it to future work.
This course is useful for or will lead to - useful for any students who are interested in going into Primary Industries in NZ, such as agriculture or horticultural branches like viticulture.
