Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms C. Green.

This course is recommended for anyone wishing to study chemistry at level 3 and/or tertiary study, as well as all who are interested in chemical or biological science. Learners will explore chemicals in everyday products and how they interact and react. We will focus on factors that affect the rate of reactions, and explore acids and bases through both theory and practical investigations. We will also explore the structure and bonding of chemicals in the world around us. Why do certain materials have the properties they have? How do we determine what chemicals something is made up of?

This course includes both internal and external assessments.
