Course Description
Learning Area Leader: Mr R. McBrearty.
This course allows students to explore business concepts and apply learning to various case studies. This is an individual theoretical business course that does not include practical business activity but instead focuses on exploring topics including Motivation Theory, Cashflow and Decision Making.
Skills/content you will cover in this course
Analysis and application of business concepts to New Zealand companies including motivation theory, future proofing, decision making and financial forecasting
Referencing and academic writing will be developed.
Skills you need to be successful in this course - research skills, proficient reading and writing skills, critical thinking and financial analysis.
This course is useful for or will lead to - 3YES or 3BUS. Beyond school tertiary pathways - you can study Commerce, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Innovation, Management (and much more) at University. There are also certificate and diploma options in Business at Ara and other institutions.
