Course Description

This is a mathematics course rich in both Mathematics and Statistics so learners are able to prepare for any higher level Mathematics and Statistics that they would like. Our aim is to give you the mathematical and statistical foundation to be able to intelligently cope with the requirements of citizenship, employment and family and to be prepared for a healthy, happy and productive life.
It will encourage you to question what you see in the data and critically evaluate others’ reports. You will develop an appreciation of variation and understanding of risks. Your sound statistical reasoning will cross over and complement work in your other subjects. You will also be able to identify patterns and develop your problem-solving with real-world applications. Learners will strengthen their mathematical reasoning, critical thinking, and communication skills.
