Learners will explore the way news is created and communicated. They will also have the opportunity to create their own news around an area of interest.

Skills you need to be successful in this course - a good level of literacy. You will need to be able to read a novel and write independently as well as sit an examination.
This course is useful for or will lead to - all courses at Level 2, especially any literacy rich courses. It will also be helpful in attaining University Entrance Literacy.
*Please note that learners must choose a Level 1 English course however they cannot take more than one English course*
Recommended Prior Learning
Learners need to have achieved Level 1 Literacy.
