3 Tourism

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr R. McBrearty.

Learners in this course will develop further skills and knowledge needed in the Travel and Tourism industry.  Learners will explore New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands and tourism destinations.  They will also investigate the economic significance of tourism to the New Zealand economy.


Note:  This is a Unit Standards based course and does not count towards University Entrance.

Additional Course Specific Contributions & Equipment/Stationery

Possible Overnight Field Trip opportunity to deepen and reinforce learning at an approximate cost of between $100 to $150 covering travel expenses and entry fee.
