Learners will explore a variety of local and world topics that impact people and the environment, and identify future solutions.
Skills/content you will cover in this course
Physical and human concepts such as coastal processes, sex trafficking, tropical cyclones and piracy.
Research and conceptual writing
Understanding perspectives and patterns
Resource interpretation
How local events are planned and managed
Mapping.
Skills you need to be successful in this course - A high level of literacy skills is required. Previous understanding of geographic skills from Level 1 and 2 is an advantage but not compulsory.

Recommended Prior Learning
Level 1 or Level 2 Geography.

Possible Overnight Field Trip opportunity to deepen and reinforce learning at an approximate cost of between $200 to $250 covering travel expenses and entry fee.
