Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs B. Hoy

Take a front row seat at the Colosseum and delve into the Roman Empire, and some of the characters that rose to the top of the pile in a cut throat and dangerous world. Examine some of the main players throughout the history of Rome, and investigate their motivations. Such men as Julius Caesar, Augustus, and Tiberius Gracchus make an appearance. Analyse Roman art and architecture, and recognise its influence over the Italian Renaissance right through to our modern day.

To keep costs low, we recommend only buying the items of stationery you do not have. Your child is welcome to bring items from home, perhaps purchased in previous years and repurposed to save money. This could include erasers, headphones, scientific calculators and padlocks for the lockers if they already have one.
