Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

Learning within senior levels of 1 & 2 of the Visual Arts would be an advantage. Consultation with Learning area leader would be required if the above courses haven't been undertaken.

Through studying Artworks in the field of Painting, learners will learn to find and follow their own unique artistic pathway inspired by modern and contemporary artists and their work.  Learners will gain transferable life skills of learning how to learn through artist model analysis and time management through large projects. Visual literacy gained through conceptual and visual problem-solving allows a unique lens through which to contribute to future work environments.

Learners will present their work in an Artist's Workbook and Artist External Portfolio*.

Learners can choose a maximum of two Visual Arts subjects at Level 3.

*The External Portfolio Submission is worth 14 credits and a UE subject basket.
