Course Description

Recommended Prior Learning

Students enrolling in this course should have completed year 12 Building and construction or year 12 Technology.



This is a very hands-on course and designed to give the students the closest experience to working on a construction site as possible. Working in small groups the students will be building a small house referencing NZ building standards.

The students throughout this course will be completing BCATS assessments giving them a total of 27 credits at the completion of the house and the course.

Students will be learning to work together, communicate and use a range of power and hand tools. This course also offers credits in Site Safety and will help those interested in joining the Trades after learning school.
