3 Sport and Recreation

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr A. Gebbie.

A practical/theoretical pathway course that leads learners to transitions outside school for coaching and recreation management careers. This course is a hands-on Physical Education course where learners will demonstrate and evaluate performance and reflect on why and why not people exercise. Level 3 Sport and Rec is an Achievement Standard based course that learners can achieve University Entrance with learning that will set you up for a career in sports.

 

Additional Course Specific Contributions & Equipment/Stationery

Rolleston College PE uniform (whānau shirt/senior PE shirt, black shorts/tights).
This course includes a range of Field Trips or Overnight Camps at a cost of $150.00 to $200.00 to deepen and reinforce learning. * Overnight camp cost to be added to statements at the start of course.
Learners will be expected to assist with and supply their own property (suitable personal clothing and footwear) for overnight and day trip excursions.
